About Us

Jewellery is a Luxury sector that is always fascinating, even during crisis the value of Jewellery and the desire to own beautiful pieces have never gone down. This is also a reason why Jewellery designing has become such a lucrative career option.
The middle east has always been known as the hub of Jewellery. People in the region are eternally on a quest to find new, unique and innovative designs. The World Academy of Design (WAOD) is a solution to the quest, teaching enthusiasts and zealous learners, the art of carving out the world’s finest pieces from the comfort of their home.
Started by Tarun Jain and Mahima Verma in Dubai, the WAOD was launched with online courses due to the ongoing pandemic in October 2020. Work from home becoming a reality, back then a lot of people had the time to re- evaluate their career choices, while some even had the Luxury of following their passion.

“The WAOD is a fully Global online and offline platform and attracts international students to the UAE for the real time experience in Jewellery Designing. With an aim of establishing Dubai as a Global hub for Jewellery design and manufacturing.
The academy offers a range of courses such as Diploma in 3D Designing on a multiple -award winning software called MATRIXGOLD & Certified Jewellery professional Diploma that includes the latest developments in Diamond, Color stone and retail Jewellery Domains.
With 2 years of Launch, WAOD has trained more than 300 Jewellery professionals across the globe with many of them, already started working with renown companies & most of the others are working on launching their own Brands. WAOD providing the required knowledge and opportunity to make their dreams come true.
WAOD is developed by a team of experienced Jewellers who have more than 30 years of experience in multiple domains of Jewellery Industry. The team has more than 20 International Jewellery Design Awards. The experience and knowledge will be highly beneficial for the budding designers who will join our courses in various disciplines.
WAOD is the Authorized educational Partner of Gemvision USA and an exclusive authorized dealer for the MATRIXGOLD software in the Middle east region.

The world academy of design aspires to bring students from across the world who have a taste for unique Jewellery designing to the design hub of the world, Dubai ! It aims to recognize train and reward outstanding talent, which the Jewellery industry currently lacks, with an eye for the future growth of the Industry, Academy is here to revolutionize the boundaries of Jewellery designing by using the latest technology in designing and manufacturing. As the Fashion and Jewellery is getting more and more competitive, we need to incorporate the technology to make business more cost effective and successful. WAOD is committed to work for the growth of budding Jewellery designers, who have a passion for Jewellery but do not get opportunity to explore or develop their talent.
